Todd W. Burris is the founder and principle attorney at the Law Office of Todd Burris, PLLC, helping people in Lexington and communities throughout Kentucky who have suffered personal injury or wrongful death due to the negligence or careless conduct of another.
As a native Kentuckian, Todd Withers Burris grew up on a farm in Jessamine County until his family moved to Lexington when he was eight years old. He attended Henry Clay High School and later went on to earn his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Kentucky. After graduating from the University of Kentucky College of Law in the top third of his class, Todd went to work as an Assistant Commonwealth Attorney for the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office in Frankfort, where he gained invaluable experience as a trial attorney and negotiator. After three years in the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office, Todd decided to enter private practice and devote his legal career to meeting the needs of people who have suffered serious personal injury and has continued to run a successful practice for the past twelve years.
Todd is married to the love of his life, Lindsey A. Burris, and they have two daughters. In his early twenties, Todd was a professional skier, certified U.S. Ski Coach, and whitewater raft/backcountry trip guide. Todd continues to be an avid skier, fly fisherman, rock climber, and whitewater enthusiast. Todd is active in his local church and seeks to honor God through the practice of law by focusing on one client at a time and achieving the best possible outcome for each client.
A key to Mr. Burris’ success and what makes his practice stand out above the rest has been the fact that he limits the number of cases he will engage at one time. As a result, more time and resources can be used to achieve a greater result for his clients, which means the firm handles primarily catastrophic and extremely serious injury cases.
