Todd W. Burris was born in Lexington, Kentucky and grew up on a farm in Jessamine County until his family moved to Lexington when he was eight. He attended Henry Clay High School. After High School he journeyed out west where his adventures led him to Colorado and Montana. He eventually began to ski professionally and became a certified United States Ski Coach, he spent the summers working as a whitewater raft and backcountry trip guide before returning to Kentucky in 1998. He developed a strong work ethic, adventurous spirit, and ability to overcome difficult times through his experience out west.
Todd received his undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky and then attended the University of Kentucky Law School where he graduated in the top third of his class in 2006. He worked as an Assistant Commonwealth Attorney in Frankfort, Kentucky for three years where he gained invaluable experience as a trial attorney, legal researcher and writer, and negotiator. He made the jump to private practice and began focusing on personal injury and defense law where he eventually formed his own law practice dedicated to serving people. Todd is married to the love of his life Lindsey A. Burris. He remains an avid rock climber, skier, and whitewater enthusiast. Todd is very active in his local church and seeks to honor God through the practice of law by building trusting, honest, and committed relationships with clients.
